Have you tried saving other files to the CD, this would find out if the problem is with the file or the CD.If the CD is OK I don't know what to suggest apart from maybe emailing the Gedcom as a.zip file./QUOTEHi there, thanks for getting back to me, I have checked the cd and it is ok, saved other file with no probs. Every time I try it says 'error in writing' or 'you have files waiting to be written to the cd' and then when click on 'write files' it comes up again error in writing.I would like to be able to store the family tree on a disc so that other members of the family could read it etc.

Hi,not familiar with this particular software, but it may have an export option.Try looking under the File menu, normally top left, and see if there is an export option, you may be able to save it as a GEDCOM file, which can be imported into most family tree software.Once exported, you can copy the GEDCOM to a CD and this can then be imported by another family member into their software program, or saved as a backup for yourself.Hi, have done the export and saved it to 'my documents' but cannot save it to cd.
